ARTIST STATEMENT
"My vision for the Faith Ringgold Children's Museum of Art, and Storytelling is a place where children, families, community and people from all over the world will come to see, learn, and experience the great cultural legacy of Harlem its art, its artists and its people.

I envision a permanent collection of Art and Books; Changing and traveling Exhibitions and Performances: Films and Lecture; Art Making Workshops, Reading, Writing and Storytelling. And Most of all Children. Children who love art. Children from Harlem and everywhere else. Children who feel comfortable with art, because all over the world, (rich or poor, black or white) they are born that way.

I feel a gross sense of joy knowing that I share the love of making art with the greatest artists of all... the children."
