DECLARACIÓN DEL ARTISTA (Inglés)

The strength of the sun beaming off the Civita di Bagnoregio square echoes through time to the Etruscans, an ancient civilization who built the city. The remnants of their culture still linger. They intermingle with the contemporary bustle of my new surroundings. Therefore, human history compacts on a cosmic timeline. Because of this, the rising and setting of our star fluidly connects one moment in history to the next. CETHA, translating to “sun” in Etruscan, contemplates this celestial omnipresence in burning red, thus providing visitors with a link with which to engage the town’s heritage

Descripción:

The red lights interact with the ancient architecture of Civita di Bagnoregio. By weaving in and out of the window, the work creates an interaction with the towns heritage. Because of this interaction viewers are able to connect with their past.
