אופנתיים כמו\r\nחנותו של המעצב היפני איסי מיאקי בשכונת טרייבקה שבניו יורק, ועד אתרים עירוניים\r\nכמו הטיימס סקוור. ועכשיו הן כאן. בימים אלה מוצגת בגלריה ליטבק בתל-אביב תערוכה\r\nמיצירותיה, “אורות בין האיים”. על רצפת הגלריה פזורות מעין בועות, מחליפות את צבע\r\nהאור, גורמות להרגיש כאילו החלל סביבן משתנה. על החלון בנויה קונסטלציית אור,\r\nהמתכתבת עם הבועות שעל הרצפה, ובחלל נפרד מוקרנת עבודת וידיאו שאת הסאונד\r\nשלה הלחין עברי לידר. “הוא מלחין מדהים ופרפורמר מדהים”, אומרת אמורוס.\r\nוחתיך.\r\n\u003C\u002Fp>\r\n\u003Cp>\r\n“אוי אלוהים. חתיך על. דיברנו הרבה מניו יורק, וכשנפגשנו פה היה בינינו חיבור ממש\r\nמדהים. הוא עשה עבודה נפלאה עם המוזיקה, וממש הצליח להביא לחיים את\r\nהאימג’ים”.\r\n\u003C\u002Fp>\r\n\u003Cp>\r\nכמו סיפורי ההצלחה הקלאסיים, במקרה של אמורוס, היא הגיעה לניו יורק כשהייתה בת\r\n,20 בשנת ,1984 עם שני תיקים תחת זרועותיה. אמורוס: “אני זוכרת כשהייתי בת ,14\r\nהסתובבתי ברחובות פרו ואמרתי לעצמי, כדאי שאני אשנן טוב-טוב איך נראים הרחובות\r\nהאלו, כי אני לא יודעת עוד כמה זמן אני אשאר פה. תמיד ידעתי שאני אגור בחו”ל”.\r\nלמה, בעצם?\r\n\u003C\u002Fp>\r\n\u003Cp>\r\n“זה היה לי ברור, לא יודעת להגיד למה. אולי רציתי להתחיל במקום שאף אחד לא הכיר\r\nאותי או את המשפחה שלי. להתחיל מכלום. אם זה קשה? כן. ברור שזה קשה”.\r\nהדבר הראשון שעשתה בעיר הגדולה היה להשיג מלגה ולהירשם ללימודים בבית הספר\r\nלאמנות Art The League Students, שבו בחרה ללמוד דווקא ציור. את הציור האחרון\r\nשלה היא
