BREATHLESS MAIDEN LANE | New York, NY 2014

Time Equities Inc.’s Art-in-Buildings program hosted an event to celebrate Breathless Maiden Lane is a new installation at 125 Maiden Lane. Artist Grimanesa Amoros revealed her large LED sculpture in the building’s atrium, which can be seen from the outside through the glass windows.

Breathless Maiden Lane is the first large-scale installation in New York of Grimanesa Amoròs’ newest body of work, which explores the artist’s relationship with and response to a specific space and its architecture. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience Amoros’ unusual use of materials and the aesthetic possibilities of the most advanced LED technology. Breathless Maiden Lane is a site-responsive installation that engages both the space it occupies and the street beyond with dynamic lighting sequences. There will be brief remarks by the artist and curator.

Art-in-Buildings, sponsored by Time Equities Inc., brings contemporary art by emerging and mid-career artists to non-traditional exhibition spaces in the interest of promoting artists, expanding the audience for art, and creating a more interesting environment for our building occupants, residents, and their guests.
