THE GOLDEN LIGHT will be a site-specific permanent installation for the façade windows of the Hudson River HealthCare Center (HRHCare).

The piece will bring awareness to the community of Peekskill, make them focus to see the relationship and history of the existing buildings.

In my past research, I learned of the group of four women who founded HRHCare in the early 1970s. After over 30 years, these women have been actively involved in the community. Their dedication inspired me to create a project about them. I still admire their determination and accomplishments. I want to continue honoring their legacy and draw attention to the important organization that has emerged from their efforts.

Through the use of lighting, words, texture and golden colors, I sought to illuminate the Center’s mission to capture the spirit of HRHCare and its important role in the community.
