After seven years traveling the world, TEDGlobal is headed “South!” TEDGlobal 2014 is setting up shop in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a true megalopolis of 6 million people that’s growing at a fast pace. Based at the Copacabana Palace Hotel, we’ll present a speaker program with a significant focus on the many facets of the Global South’s rise in influence and power — while including relevant new stories from the rest of the world. The traditional TED format is maintained: 3- to 18-minute stage talks, interspersed with music and performance.
