The word man has many different meanings. It can mean a single male human being, or it can refer to the human species as a whole. The power of one word can evoke so much thought in a person’s mind. I believe that the human body is created to embody perfection in nature, and that everybody part is made to be captivating. Le mot homme a plusieurs significations. Je pense que le corps humain a ete cree pour incarner Ia perfection dans Ia nature, ce qui rend chacun de nous captivant.

I am preoccupied with that which can be seen and what attracts our gaze. I find it fascinating that the body of a woman is captivating beyond comparison. As she moves through a space all eyes fall on her. She is alluring by choice or is victimized by the glares of onlookers, either way we cannot take our eyes off her.

Je suis preoccupee par ce que ‘on peut voir et par ce qui attire notre regard. Je trouve fascinant que le corps d’une femme puisse ace point etre captivant. Lorsqu’elle se depace taus Jes regards s’attardent sur elle. Elle est seduisante par choix ou victime du regard des autres, mais if est difficile d’en detacher son regard.

She is an interdisciplinary artist with diverse interests in the fields of social history, scientific research and critical theory. Through her art she conveys an ephemeral wonder, entrancing viewers from all different backgrounds and com- munities to become agents of empowerment. She makes use of sculpture, video, and lighting to create works that illuminate our notions of personal identity and community.
