CAFA Next City = Nature is an interdisciplinary research project to discuss the reciprocity between the idea of the city and nature from Europe to China. The program is in partneship with Dutch Design Fashion Architecture Foundation (DutchDFA), China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), CAFA Art Museum and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in China. Through presentation and discussion by designers, architects, scientists, philosophers and artists, the theme will reframed as individual manifestos. This is a continuation of the Next City project initiated by Dutch DFA and Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2010.

The Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) is located in Beijing, the capital of China. It is as well an academy where culture, history and art flourish.
