Artspace, Raleigh’s downtown center for the arts, is a private, non-profit visual art center dedicated to presenting quality exhibitions and educational programs within an open-studio environment. Artspace is funded in part by the
North Carolina Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of North Carolina and the
National Endowment for the Arts; by the
United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County, with funds from the United Arts campaign and the Grassroots Arts Program of the North Carolina Arts Council; by the
City of Raleigh, based on recommendations of the
Raleigh Arts Commission; and by individuals; businesses, corporations; and private foundations.
Basic Papermaking for Adults
The art of paper making is an exciting process that is sure to delight and intrigue!
Participants learn the history of papermaking and papermaking terminology, as they Learn the papermaking process from start to finish. Using traditional hand papermaking Equipment and materials, participants will create multi-colored handmade sheets of paper From cotton pulp and recycled materials.
